Director Elvira Habota on Official Visit to the French Republic
During her two-day official visit to France on 10 and 11 March 2025, Elvira Habota, Director of the Directorate for European Integration, met with representatives from the Office of the President of the French Republic and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to discuss Bosnia and Herzegovina's European integration path.
The visit included meetings with Bertrand Buchwalter, Advisor to the President of the French Republic for Continental Europe and Türkiye, and René Troccaz, Special Envoy for the Western Balkans at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Director Habota expressed gratitude to the French Republic for its support to Bosnia and Herzegovina's European integration process.
Furthermore, Director Habota informed her counterparts about the latest actions of BiH institutions in implementing the eight steps outlined in the European Commission's 2022 Recommendations. She also outlined the remaining tasks that BiH authorities needed to complete for the EU to adopt the negotiation framework.
The meetings provided an opportunity to discuss further French support for BiH's European integration process.
