Habota and Farrell Discuss Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU Path
Director of the Directorate for European Integration Elvira Habota met today in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina Adrian Farrell.
Ahead of the European Commission’s upcoming report on BiH, expected this autumn, Habota outlined key institutional activities aimed at meeting the eight steps from the Commission’s 2022 Recommendation.
She highlighted, among other measures, the adoption of the Law on Personal Data Protection, the Law on Border Control, the Border Management Strategy, and BiH’s Reform Agenda.
Discussions also touched on the priorities of Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2026, with a particular focus on opportunities for cooperation, especially through youth-oriented projects.
