Director Habota meets German Foreign Office Director Natalie Kauther
Director of the Directorate for European Integration Elvira Habota, met today with Natalie Kauther, the newly appointed Director for the Western Balkans, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the Council of Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany accompanied by Alfred Grannas, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH, and Renata Rat, First Secretary at the German Embassy.
The Director Habota expressed gratitude to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for its continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European path, in particular through development cooperation and institutional capacity building projects in the EU integration process.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged information on activities related to fulfilling priorities and further progress in the European integration process.
Director Habota pointed out that the pace of the reform implementation largely depended on political development, while institutions at the technical level continued to fulfil their obligations and work towards meeting the EU priorities. She emphasised that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported EU membership with 74.4%, thereby sending a clear message that they see their future in the European family.
Both sides expressed confidence that the successful cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Germany would be further strengthened in the period ahead, particularly in areas facilitating the EU integration process.
