Journalists from BiH on study visit to Zagreb

The Directorate for European Integration, with the financial and technical support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, organised a study visit to Zagreb for journalists from Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2 to 6 December 2024.

Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian National Bank presented the benefits of the EU membership, lessons learned from the accession process, as well as the development and implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan as a model for the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

During the three-day visit to Zagreb, members of the media from Bosnia and Herzegovina were also informed about the use of EU structural and investment funds 2014-2020, EU shared management funds 2021-2027, projects implemented under the Interreg IPA Programme Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro, and about the advantages of introducing euro as the official currency in Croatia.

Upon their return, the journalists visited the Bihać City Administration where they were informed about the pilot activities on waste collection and recycling and other environmental protection projects funded by the Interreg IPA Programme Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro.
