It was a first in a cycle of ten training sessions that would be implemented in 2024 by the Directorate for European Integration in cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.

Director of the Directorate for European Integration, Elvira Habota and the ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in BiH, Ivan Sabolić, opened the training by their introductory address.

That was an opportunity for the civil servants from all the levels of authority to learn about the experiences from the latest EU enlargement and about lessons learned by the Republic of Croatia in managing EU negotiations.

The objective was to transfer knowledge of various phases of the EU pre-accession negotiations, including preparation of documents, strategic planning and communication, as well as negotiation skills.

Cooperation of the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia in training and education in the field of European integration began in 2012. Numerous projects and programmes have been completed so far.
