Interactive workshop on using social networks of institutions

On 13 and 14 March 2025, the Directorate for European Integration, in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), organised a workshop for communication officers in institutions from various levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the topic of using social networks of institutions.

Strategic communication experts engaged by UNOPS, Samra Lučkin and Mirko Mandić, presented the best examples of overcoming institutional barriers to effective social media management and discussed how to create clear, impactful messages consistent with institutional values, with an emphasis on reforms in the European integration process.

Through group-based practical exercises, around forty participants had the opportunity to gain basic knowledge developing a digital strategy aligned with institutional guidelines, audience segmentation, platform selection and goal setting.

The second day of the workshop was dedicated to media planning, content creation, strategic management of social networks and their impact analysis. With expert guidance from social networking and photography experts, Mak Alagić and Sulejman Omerbasić, institutional communicators worked interactively on designing visuals and videos, creating visual posts and campaign evaluation techniques.

The UNOPS, through its office in Austria and with the financial support of the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, is implementing the programme Knowledge for Reform Action in the Western Balkans, with the aim of supporting BiH in the EU accession process.
